In 1838, the $10 Liberty Head, or Coronet, was introduced. The original design endured through 1907. Slight modifications were made in 1839, and in 1866, when the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” was added. A lot of Liberty Head Eagles are rare, particularly among uncirculated coins, which have relatively low values. It’s unheard of for someone to assemble a full set of uncirculated $10 Liberty Head pieces, because so many early varieties are just about impossible to find.
